To strengthen the connection between industry and academia, and to bring advanced analytical technologies closer to educational and research environments, Red Star Vietnam Co., Ltd collaborated with Rigaku to organize a specialized workshop at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. The event attracted strong interest from lecturers, researchers, and students in the Materials Science field.
At the workshop, Dr. Tadaishi – Rigaku expert – introduced Rigaku’s 70-year development journey and presented an overview of thermal analysis technologies TG/DTA/DSC. Technical representatives also demonstrated measurement principles, sample analysis procedures, and methods for data interpretation. Students had the opportunity to directly observe the operation of the equipment, helping them transform theoretical knowledge into practical, visual understanding.
The workshop fostered an open and engaging learning environment, with numerous in-depth questions raised on topics such as the application of thermal analysis instruments in specific research projects, strategies for optimizing analytical data, and various standards and requirements in materials measurement. These exchanges not only supported academic understanding but also provided students with practical career orientation.
The workshop offered students valuable exposure to advanced Japanese thermal analysis technology, deeper insight into real-world materials analysis workflows, and practical knowledge applicable to their thesis and future careers. For lecturers and researchers, the program provided updates on Rigaku’s latest technologies and encouraged academic discussion and potential research collaboration. For universities and industry partners, the event strengthened the link between education and technology, contributed to improving the quality of scientific and technical human resources, and created a foundation for future cooperative projects.
